Movie vs. Anime show

Haven't you ever noticed how ash goes on all of these adventures in movies but in the anime he completely forgets everything as if it never happened. I think it's a little weird but I guess it's because it's easier to keep movies seprate from TV but I dunno. What do you think?
I think that ash is goin wild wild xD ....in movies he is awesome and knows all pokemons ....but in episodes when im watching lol he saw that caterpie 100000 times and he wow what pokemon is that im gonna use my pokedex to see LMFAO
so what do u think

I think that the movies should be connected with anime somehow. Like; Season > Movie finishing the season. Etc. That`s how they SHOULD do that.

Maybe it is a different Ash every movie?
-I am thinking, On Zelda, There is a different Link every game. Maybe it is the same for Pokemon Movies. That would explain y he keeps asking about the same pokemon all the time. Though ash's appearence does not change in every movie.
